OCEAN CITY, Md. –  Officials in Ocean City, could be changing visitors center. The building along Route 50 is also home to the Ocean City Chamber of Commerce.

The location allows residents and tourists to learn about local events, brochures, and businesses.

Currently, plans are still conceptual, but staff and board members look to change how the space will be used.

The chamber closed the center earlier in November, and CEO Amy Thompson wants to ensure they come back stronger than ever in the Spring.

“The board and I are taking the time throughout the winter to make sure we properly use this amazing building in this great location to make sure we’re continually meeting the needs of our community.”

The visitor center will remain closed throughout the winter months, chamber staff will continue to work year-round.
