(EASTON, Md) – One Talbot County Group is kicking off their big holiday tradition this weekend.

The Mid Shore Council on Family Violence in partnership with Bountiful Home in Easton is gearing up for their 10th annual Holiday Giving Tree program.

Throughout the month of November, customers can take a card off the tree to help a family across the five Mid-Shore counties.

We caught up with the council’s Executive Director, Jeanne Yeager about being able to make an impact for families this holiday season for the 10th year in a row.

Jeanne tells WMDT, “Our clients don’t have the funds all the time to purchase gifts for their children or even, you know, think about themselves. It’s great to also give the gifts to our clients. And I think this is also a great example of how businesses can partner with mature to help victims of domestic violence in our community.”

The Mid-Shore Council says they’ll be helping 100 people across 35 families this holiday season.

Families are from across Talbot, Dorchester, Caroline, Kent, and Anne Arundel counties.

If you are interested in helping, you can scan the council’s QR code on the flyer.
