Georgetown Public Library to host fourth annual Sip ‘N’ Shop fundraiser on Friday

GEORGETOWN, Del. — The Georgetown Public Library will host its fourth annual Sip ‘N’ Shop Fundraiser this Friday, offering an evening of local entertainment, shopping, and community giving.

Admission to the event is free, with all proceeds benefiting the library, a nonprofit organization that relies on fundraising to support its programs and services.

Assistant Director Meghan Palazzo said the evening will feature “live music, wine from Salted Vines Vineyard, desserts, tea, library tours, a silent auction, and raffle tickets.”

Library officials say the event provides residents a fun way to support literacy and community programming. For those unable to attend, donations are still being accepted.

An anonymous donor has pledged to match proceeds up to $10,000, doubling the impact of community contributions.

The fundraiser takes place Friday, Nov. 7, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Georgetown Public Library, located on Pine Street in Georgetown.
