Foodie Friday: Slingers

SEAFORD, Del.- At Slingers in Seaford, don’t let the name or the logo fool you, they specialize in more than just pizza.

WMDT’s Leila Weah got to try a little bit of everything during her visit to the restaurant.

“First off, we’re going to start off with this baked ziti,” Leila said. “She has it is so cheesy, so gooey, so Italian, that’s the common theme here at this restaurant.”

“That’s got me in all the feels. I love a good baked ziti; I’m such a pasta girl, anything pasta, you have my attention,” Leila added. “This baked ziti can have all my attention, 27 hours a day.”

Now, onto the cheesesteak.

“We’re going to bring in my friend, Philly cheesesteak and fries,” Leila said. “This baby right here, they picked just the right blend of seasonings for this, and surprisingly, I actually do like the vegetables that they put on here. It doesn’t make the bread too soggy; this is a really good cheesesteak, for us not being in Philly.”

And finally, a moment for the wings.

“The thing about these wings is, they use a wet rub instead of a dry rub,” Leila said. “This is a very flavorful wing, and this crunch factor is to die.”

“This is a nice game day wing, and the football season is here. These are some wings that I would order to watch my favorite team, the Vikings, play,” she added.

So, if you’re a pasta person, a Philly cheesesteak fanatic, or you just like a wonderful wing, make sure to check out Slingers at 22990 Sussex Highway, Seaford, Del.
