Fatal Two-Vehicle Crash in Harrington; DSP Investigating
HARRINGTON, Del. – The Delaware State Police are investigating a fatal two-vehicle crash that occurred Friday night.
At approximately 9:00 p.m. on Oct. 31, a Ford Fusion was traveling northbound on South Dupont Highway and entered a center crossover, preparing to turn left onto Tower Hill Road. At the same time, an Infiniti G37 was traveling southbound in the right lane on South Dupont Highway, approaching Tower Hill Road.
For reasons still under investigation, the Ford crossed in front of the Infiniti and as a result, the front of the Infiniti struck the right side of the Ford. The impact caused the Ford to exit the west edge of the roadway and strike a utility pole.
The driver of the Ford, 64-year-old Lorenza Bailey Jr. of Milford, was transported to an area hospital and pronounced dead.
The driver of the Infiniti, a 19-year-old man also of Milford, was transported to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
