Eastern Shore hospitals recognized
SALISBURY, Md. — TidalHealth and Atlantic General both received an A grade in hospital safety from The Leapfrog Group.
The two hospitals were recognized as the highest-rated health systems in the region for patient care and safety. This marks the sixth consecutive period that TidalHealth in Salisbury has earned an A grade, and the second for Atlantic General.
TidalHealth Nanticoke earned a B grade, the highest in southern Delaware.
Mandy Bounds, vice president of patient care services at Atlantic General Hospital, said, “We’re super proud of the effort. It’s all about quality, safety, and care for our patients and the families we serve. That’s why we do what we do every day, and that’s why we’re a hospital to this community. We are committed to becoming a high-reliability organization and striving for the highest level of safety.”
