Car Wrecks into Tree After Hit & Run in Millsboro

MILLSBORO, Del. – Authorities are investigating a vehicle crash that occurred in the early hours of Wednesday morning.

At 12:14 a.m. on Nov. 26, crews from the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company and Mid Sussex Rescue Squad responded to the area of Creek Drive and Banks Road. It was reported to be a two vehicle collision, with one vehicle fleeing the incident. The remaining vehicle was off the roadway into a tree.

A preliminary evaluation of the scene found that a silver Toyota Corolla was traveling on Banks Road before reportedly colliding with a large truck and going off the roadway into a tree. The truck did not remain at the incident location.

The Delaware State Police are investigating.
