Car Rolls Over Into Power Lines in Selbyville

SELBYVILLE, Del. – The Selbyville and Roxana Volunteer Fire companies responded to the scene of an accident on Tuesday morning.

Crews responded to the area of West Line Road and Muskrat Town Road, and found one vehicle on its side with multiple power lines down around and on the vehicle with the patient still trapped inside. About 90 units responded to this accident.

Crews from Delmarva Power & Light also responded to ensure all electricity in the neighboring power lines was shut off. Once that was done, crews were able to safety start the extrication process.

The patient was successfully removed from the vehicle and transported to a local area hospital.
