Berlin gets special Christmas tree delivery ahead of the holiday

BERLIN, Md. – The Town of Berlin got a special delivery today, its Christmas Tree.

The 14 foot concolor fir tree made the road trip from Garrett County, Maryland to Downtown Berlin. The delivery had plenty of fan-fare and included Mayor Zach Tyndall riding along for the delivery.

The tree is located at the corner of the historic Atlantic Hotel.

Ivy Wells, the town’s director of Economic and Community Development, says the fun doesn’t stop with today’s excitement.

“This Thursday at 11 a.m., town staff will come here and decorate the tree with hand-painted oyster shells that we deliver to the schools,” said Wells. “People can watch us decorate, and if they like to help, they are more than welcome.”

Christmas is only 38 days away.
