ADA Mid-Atlantic provides safety accessible tips ahead of Thanksgiving
MARYLAND. – The American Disabilities Act is about trying to provide accessible Thanksgiving parties.
The ADA Mid-Atlantic Center wants to remind the largest minority group in Maryland – people with disabilities with accommodations.
With the holiday season cranking up, parties and social gatherings are in abundance.
Anne Deschamps is the Director for the ADA, and she said signage, sensory considerations, and dietary considerations all play a huge role in providing inclusivity.
“The interesting thing about all of these accessibility considerations is they’re not just for people with disabilities, they are really for all of us for everybody.”
She adds that the ADA strives to be considerate to all people.
“I mean I would encourage your audience to ask questions about accessibility about the American disabilities act, that’s what we are here for.”
