Wellness & Recovery Center in Princess Anne Closing its Doors

PRINCESS ANNE, Md. – The Somerset County Health Department has announced that the Wellness and Recovery Center in Princess Anne will be closing its doors, effective Wednesday, Nov. 5.

The department says the center, located on Somerset Avenue, is set to close due to underutilization, related to issues of transportation to the site.

While the facility is closing, the services it provided will still be available. All staff formerly located at the center will now report to he health department’s Sign Post Road location in Westover.

“In an effort to reduce barriers to receiving services, staff will be providing local behavioral health services, such as peer support, re-entry, and state care coordination, at more location sin Somerset County and at the health department’s Sign Post Road location,” said the health department in their announcement.
