UPDATE: Seaford Police Arrest Suspect in Seaford, Hurlock Bank Robberies

UPDATE: The Seaford Police Department has announced charges against Donald Gross and Marlyn Gramajo-Gutierrez following their arrest on Friday.

Police say that they have tied Gross and Gramajo-Gutierrez to the M&T Bank robberies in Seaford, as well as a robbery that occurred at Bora Beauty on Tuesday, Oct. 21.

Gross has been charged with two counts of first degree robbery, second degree robbery, two counts of second degree conspiracy, terroristic threatening, and menacing. He was committed to Sussex Correctional Institution on $131,100 cash bail.

Gramajo-Gutierrez has been charged with second degree conspiracy, and committed to Sussex Correctional Institution on $10,000 cash bail.

The Hurlock Police Department has not announced any charges in relation to the Bayvanguard bank robbery at this time.

 

SEAFORD, Del. – The Seaford Police Department arrested their person of interest connected to several bank robberies in the area on Friday morning.

On Oct. 24, Seaford police officers responded to the Sunrise Motel for a reported sighting of bank robbery suspect, Donald T. Gross. Community members saw Gross and a female subject exit a vehicle and enter into a nearby property and immediately contacted police.

The FBI Violent Crime Task Force and Homeland Security responded to the scene to assist Seaford Police with the investigation. Officers surrounded the property while U.S. Marshal’s members confirmed the presence of Gross. Once confirmed, authorities entered the building and took Gross and a woman, identified as 30-year-old Marlyn Gramajo-Gutierrez, into custody. Both subjects were transported to the Seaford Police Department.

Gross is currently charged with first degree robbery, second degree conspiracy, terroristic threatening, and menacing. He is believed to be the suspect involved in the Sept. 9 and Oct. 4 M&T Bank robberies in Seaford.

The Hurlock Police Department confirmed on Friday that Gross is also the primary suspect in the BayVanguard Bank robbery that took place on Sept. 26.

Police say this is an active and ongoing investigation, and information on additional charges and bail will be released at a later time.
