UPDATE: Absconder from Sussex Community Corrections Apprehended
UPDATE: The Delaware Department of Corrections (DOC) announced on Wednesday that they have apprehended the offender that absconded from Sussex Community Corrections Center on Oct. 17.
Authorities say that on Tuesday, Oct. 21, Ollee Lincoln-Plummer was apprehended by DOC Officers in Rehoboth Beach and returned to custody. He was arraigned before being committed to the Sussex Correctional Institution on an escape after conviction warrant in lieu of $5,000 cash bail.
GEORGETOWN, Del. – The Delaware Department of Corrections announced on Monday that an offender being held at the Sussex Community Corrections Center (SCCC) failed to return from an approved work pass.
Community Corrections Centers are Level 4 facilities where the Department of Correction manages offenders who are transitioning back into the community. These centers are not secured like Level 5 prisons, as offenders are permitted to the leave the facility to go to work, seek jobs, or attend approved treatment sessions.
Ollee Lincoln-Plummer, a 32-year-old man from Harrington, absconded from his place of work on Friday, Oct. 17. He was serving time for violating his probation and committing a theft greater than $1,500. Lincoln-Plummer’s whereabouts are unknown and unauthorized at this time. Authorities say a warrant for escape after conviction has been issued.
