SU volleyball win streak snapped by Christopher Newport
SALISBURY, Md. – Salisbury University Women’s Volleyball fell to Christopher Newport 3-1 on Wednesday night at Maggs Gym in Salisbury.
Christopher Newport claimed a back-and-forth first set 25-21.
The Sea Gulls evened the match at 1-1 with a 25-22 set two victory, but the Captains found their stride again late in the third and into the fourth set, taking them 25-21 and 25-17 respectively, winning the match 3-1.
CNU was led by Alyssa Dozier who had 18 kills and 5 blocks.
For Salisbury, it was Kiley McTaggart wtih 13 kills and 9 digs.
Salisbury had won six straight heading into the match, with the loss they fall to 15-5 on the season. The Sea Gulls’ next game will be at home on Saturday, October 11 at 11 a.m. versus Regent.
