Seaford Police to Host ‘Cones with Cops & Pizza with Police’ Fundraiser
SEAFORD, Del. — The Seaford Police Department is inviting the community to enjoy an evening of sweet treats and savory slices — all in support of local school programs.
In partnership with Lickety Splitz Ice Cream and Slingers Pizza & Grill, officers will be taking on new roles for the night, serving up ice cream and pizza during the “Cones with Cops & Pizza with Police” event.
The event will be held on Thursday, October 23, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at 22992 Sussex Highway in Seaford. Ten percent of the evening’s proceeds will benefit the city’s School Resource Officer program, which places officers in schools to promote safety and build positive relationships with students.
“Come on out — the officers will be dipping ice cream, and I assume in some way we’ll be helping at Slingers as well, even if it’s just running food,” said Deputy Chief Tyler Justice of the Seaford Police Department. “We did it last year, and it’s a fun time for us. We’d love to see you there and appreciate your support.”
Organizers say the event offers a chance for residents to engage with local law enforcement in a relaxed setting, while also giving back to an important community initiative.
