Seaford celebrates homecoming with blowout victory

SEAFORD, Del. – Seaford football beat First State Military Academy 46-7 on Friday night in Seaford.

FSMA came up with a big defensive play on the first drive of the game, with Damier Bryan intercepting Seaford quarterback Vincent Evans. The Bulldogs though moved backwards on the following two plays and Seaford’s defense was able to capitalize and open the game’s scoring with a safety.

Seaford’s offense took off from there, with rushing touchdowns from Everette Burton and Brendan West, and 38-yard field goal from kicker Luke Metzner to give the Blue Jays a 19-0 lead at the end of the first quarter. On homecoming, the home team was able to sustain their success for the remainder of the game for a 46-7 victory.

Seaford moves to 6-1 with the win. Their next game is at home against Newark Charter School on Friday, October 17 at 6 p.m.
