Salvation Army of Cambridge in Need of Pantry Help
(CAMBRIDGE, Md ) – The Salvation Army in Cambridge is looking for help when it comes to food donations.
They showed us their pantry shelves and freezers, and they are nearly empty as the pressures of federal SNAP suspension seep onto the Eastern Shore.
Salvation Army Major Raquel Lorenzo says they’re not only accepting non-perishables for donations, but also items that can be refrigerated. Adding, every donation helps to feed neighbors and community members.
“It is vital, vital to be able to provide food for our people in our community. And like you said, you see our pantry. It is empty. So we’re trying to reach out to our community…” says Raquel.
Major Lorenzo says they are accepting financial donations as well as drop-offs.
If you’d like to help out, visit their location at 200 Washington Street in Cambridge.
