SALISBURY, Md. — Last Thursday, Salisbury unveiled a rebranding of one of its oldest welcome signs, located at the intersection of Business Route 50 and Nanticoke Road.

The Salisbury Area Chamber of Commerce revealed the refreshed design, which highlights several local nonprofit organizations. Chamber officials said the update was made possible through collaboration with various community partners.

Bill Chambers, CEO and president of the Salisbury Area Chamber of Commerce, credited the success of the project to those involved. “Thanks to many of our community partners and the chamber staff, a new color scheme was developed,” Chambers said. “Our marketing and media director decided we needed to start living it up. It looks wonderful. It’s a great access and entry point to the city.”

The sign, which is more than 50 years old, has been an important landmark for the city.
