SALISBURY, Md. – The City is set to be haunted all weekend as various Halloween festivities kick off around town.

One of the most popular events of the year is the Halloween Party at Poplar Hill Mansion! This 18+ event includes ghoulish games like BOOllete, Trick or Treat 21, Wheel of Terror, and Dreadful Drinko to win prizes. Dress in your best costume while you admire the fully decorated and historically haunted house. You can also plan to celebrate with Halloween favorites like the limbo, an outdoor movie on the jumbo screen, vendors, light refreshments, and storytelling from Andy Nunez, a paranormal expert extraordinaire and author of the Ghosts of the Eastern Shore series.

The Halloween Party will start at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 24. No RSVP is required to attend this event, and guests are suggested to provide a five dollar donation at the door.

On Saturday, more family fun will be taking place at the Mansion with the Jack O’ Lantern Jubilee. There will be several kids games with prizes, pumpkin painting, and a costume contest with three age divisions! This is a free event for the family, and all children must be accompanied by an adult. Hot dog meals, including a hot dog, bag of chips, and can of soda or bottle of water, for three dollars per meal.

You can also catch the tail end of Halloween Happening this weekend at the Zoo, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. This is a family-friendly celebration where guests of all ages can dress up in their favorite costumes.  Children aged 12-years-old and under can enjoy a trick-or-treating adventure through the Zoo. Follow the candy trail, take part in exciting costume contests, and enjoy live entertainment, games, and seasonal fun! Grab your tickets here

Lastly, Treat Street is coming to Downtown Salisbury! WMDT will be there along with many other local organizations in Unity Square this Sunday for this free Trunk-or-Treat event. For those who have attended in the past, the entrance is in a different spot this year, but the Salisbury Jaycees who are hosting this event will be on hand to help direct you on where to go!
