Pocomoke Elementary School Employee Struck by Unidentified Object; WCSO Investigating

POCOMOKE CITY, Md. – A joint statement was issued on Wednesday by the Worcester County Sheriff’s Office (WCSO) and Worcester County Public Schools regarding an incident that took place on Monday evening.

At approximately 4:56 p.m. on Oct. 13, an employee of Pocomoke Elementary School was struck by an unidentified object after exiting the school building. The condition of the employee is unknown.

WCSO is actively investigating the incident, and no further information has been shared at this time. Authorities say that they are increasing police presence in the area out of an abundance of caution.
