Parkside High School set to host it’s Annual “Hallowed Halls” Event

SALISBURY, Md. — Parkside High School is gearing up for its annual “Hallowed Halls” event — a spooky, family-friendly celebration for elementary school students that also supports local families in need.

Set for Friday, Oct. 24, from 5 to 7 p.m., the event transforms the high school into a haunted experience, complete with elaborate decorations, student-led scare zones, and plenty of Halloween fun. Admission is $5 per person with a canned good, or $10 without. All canned food donations will go toward local food banks.

“This is an alternative to door-to-door trick-or-treating or trunk-or-treat events,” saidAlison Cornish the Worked Based Coordinator CTE at Parkside. “We want families to come out and enjoy a safe, Halloween-themed night together.”

Students and staff have spent weeks preparing for the event, transforming classrooms and hallways into haunted scenes. Many of them are excited to finally show off their hard work.

“We spent a lot of time and put in a lot of effort to decorate the halls and every area of the school,” said one student. “We hope everyone enjoys it.”

Now in its third year, the event continues to grow, and organizers say it’s becoming a seasonal favorite for families in Salisbury and the surrounding community.
