One in Critical Condition after Hit & Run; Seaford PD Investigating
SEAFORD, Del. – The Seaford Police Department is investigating a hit and run that left one man in critical condition on Monday evening.
At approximately 7:23 p.m. on Oct. 27, police responded to the area of West Stein Highway and Porter Street following a report of a pedestrian having been struck by a vehicle.
A preliminary investigation revealed that a 68-year-old man was walking on West Stein Highway. As he attempted to cross the street, police say he was struck by the driver’s side mirror of a gray Lincoln Navigator. The suspect vehicle initially slowed before continuing eastbound on Stein Highway.
The victim was transported to Nanticoke Hospital and then flown to Christiana Hospital where he remains in critical condition.
Police believe the suspect vehicle likely has a missing driver’s side mirror, as well as potential damage to the driver’s side of the vehicle.
