OC to Designate Special Event Zone for Endless Summer Cruisin’
OCEAN CITY, Md. – Ocean City will be designated as a Special Event Zone for the Endless Summer Cruisin’ event taking place from Thursday, Oct. 9 until Sunday, Oct 12.
Within the event zone, speed limits will be reduced and fines for violations will be increased. Similar to a construction zone, offenders may face higher fines or even arrest, depending on the severity of the offense. The maximum speed within the town limits of Ocean City is 30 miles per hour, except where marked otherwise.
During the event, residents and visitors can expect a significant police presence to enforce all traffic laws. Additionally, expect heavy traffic congestion and possible changes to normal traffic patterns throughout the weekend.
The Town of Ocean City has also enacted Resolution 2025-10, designating specific dates for enhanced paid parking rates and penalties during special events. The enhanced parking penalties focus on prohibited parking areas, including no-parking signs, red curbs, fire hydrants, and sidewalks.
All spectators are urged to keep sidewalks clear for pedestrians. Drivers are instructed to not spin their tires or perform burnouts, as these actions are dangerous and illegal. Officers will enforce laws against both drivers and spectators who incite reckless behavior.
