MSP Investigating Fatal Stabbing in Downtown Salisbury

SALISBURY, Md. – Maryland State Police (MSP) are investigating a fatal stabbing that took place early Saturday morning.

Shortly after 1:00 a.m. on Oct. 4, officers from the Salisbury Police Department responded to the 200 block of East Main Street for reports of a fight in progress. Upon arrival on the scene, police located a male victim suffering from an apparent stab wound. He was transported to TidalHealth Peninsula Regional where he was pronounced deceased.

The victim has been identified as 27-year-old La’Austin Walker of Eden.

The MSP Homicide Unit was requested to respond and take the lead on the investigation. Homicide investigators and crime scene technicians from the MSP Forensic Sciences Division processed the scene and collected evidence. Additional assistance is being provided by members of the Salisbury Police Department.
