FRUITLAND, Md. – The Maryland Department of Transportation (MDOT) State Highway Administration is set to resurface a portion of southbound U.S. 13 Business in the South Salisbury and Fruitland areas.
The portion of the roadway being repaved spans a little over two miles, from West College Avenue in Salisbury to Main Street in Fruitland. Crews will be removing the top layer of asphalt, paving, and restriping the roadway. Work will begin on Sunday, Oct. 19, and completion of the roadwork is expected by late fall, weather permitting.
Crews will work overnight on Sunday through Thursday, from 8:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. During work hours, motorists can expect single-lane closures and flagging operations throughout the duration of the project.
Drivers are asked to stay alert, stay focused and be aware of reduced speed limits and changing driving patterns in the work zone.
