Indian River field hockey rolls past Laurel
DAGSBORO, Del. – Indian River field hockey beat Laurel 5-0 on Thursday in Dagsboro.
The game remained scoreless until the second quarter, when the Indian River offense exploded for three goals in less than five minutes with Ella Peterson breaking the ice and Baylie Williamson netting two in a row.
The third quarter opened with IR extending their lead thanks to a goal from Reece Forrey, and Peterson notched her second of the game late in the quarter to make it 5-0.
Indian River is now 9-2 with the win. Their next game is at home versus Caesar Rodney on Tuesday, October 14 at 4 p.m.
Laurel falls to 2-8-1 with the loss. Their next game is at Woodbridge on Monday, October 13 at 4 p.m.
