Hurlock Lions Club Donates Bikes to Students
(HURLOCK, Md) – A select few middle schoolers in Northern Dorchester County got a welcome surprise Wednesday morning.
The Hurlock Lions Club donated 19 brand new bikes to students at North Dorchester Middle School.
This is the second donation of bikes to local kids the Lions Club has done this year.
We managed to catch up with the Lions Club about what these bike donations mean to kids in Hurlock.
Lions Club and City Council Member, Earl Murphy tells us, “I think it’s amazing. And some of them may use this just to transport to find some of them running to the stores and actually just going on and having fun with their friends who do have bikes. It’s just a great opportunity. And some of them use for a mode of transportation going back and forth for their sports events and things like that as well.”
The Lions Club helped donate bikes earlier this year during Hurlock’s National Night Out.
