Horn Point Lab to Host Open House

(CAMBRIDGE, Md) – The Horn Point Lab at the University of Maryland Center for Environmental Science is preparing to welcome the community this weekend.

The campus is holding their annual fall open house event this Saturday, the 11th in Cambridge.

Researchers at the campus are excited to welcome members of the community to the grounds…

And show them that their research isn’t such a secret.

“So many people think that a laboratory or a scientific laboratory is the secret hidden place. And we just like to break that down and say, Hey, come here are scientists, are people. We’re just like you. We enjoy what we’re doing and we want to share it with you,” says Horn Point Professor and Director, Michael Sieracki.

The open house will run from 11 A.M. to 4 P.M. Saturday.
