Former Magnolia Middle Constable Charged with Inappropriate Touching of a Student
MAGNOLIA, Del. – The Caesar Rodney School District has released a statement addressing charges filed against a constable formerly assigned to Magnolia Middle School.
On Tuesday, Oct. 7, the district announced that a constable had been indicted following an incident that occurred in February involving inappropriate physical confrontation with a student. Officials say that the constable was placed on paid administrative leave immediately following the incident, and has not returned to the school building since beginning leave.
“While we cannot comment further due to the ongoing criminal investigation, we want to be clear: the safety and well-being of our students is our highest priority,” said Superintendent Dr. Corey Miklus. “We are fully cooperating with law enforcement and remain committed to maintaining a safe and supportive environment for all students and staff.”
