Economic Impact of Main Street Conference in Easton

(EASTON, Md) – Easton is expecting a large turnout of Main Street Representatives this week for the Main Street Maryland Conference.

Easton’s Economic Development Corporation is expecting up to 400 people to visit, and they’ll get a warm welcome from some of the local businesses.

Each Main Street Conference participant is receiving a twenty dollar gift card to Easton’s downtown.

Easton Economic Development Corporation Director, Holly DeKarske says, “All of these people know how important Main Street is and how important it is to support our small businesses. So they are very much committed to doing that and will try to find something they want down here before they try to head out to some national chain to do that.”

It’s unclear what the economic impact will be for the city of Easton
