Easton Police Arrested Baltimore Man for Attempted Murder
EASTON, Md. – The Easton Police Department has arrested a man in connection with a stabbing that took place in September.
On Sept. 21 at approximately 1:38 a.m., officers were dispatched to the area of the 600th block of Dover Road in reference to a stabbing. Upon arrival, officers found a victim with multiple stab wounds. When paramedics arrived on scene, they transported the victim who was later transferred to Shock Trauma.
Officers learned that the victim was stabbed on the neck, chest, arm, and back after an altercation took place in the area. Investigators were able to later identify 34-year-old Steffon L. Washington of Baltimore as the suspect involved. Investigators, along with the U.S. Marshals Capital Area Regional Fugitive Task Force, were able to track Washington to a residence in Ellicott City, where he was located and arrested on Oct. 9.
Washington has been charged with first and second degree attempted murder, first and second degree assault, and reckless endangerment. He is being held at the Talbot County Detention Center.
