Dover Welcomes Raising Cane’s

Dover De Grand Opening

DOVER, Del. – Festivities and feasting were underway at the grand opening of Raising Cane’s in Dover on Tuesday.

Raising Cane’s is an American fast-food chain specializing in chicken tenders and crinkle cut fries, with over 900 locations nationwide. Yet, Delmarva residents previously found themselves traveling over the Chesapeake Bay or up towards Newark if they wanted to assuage their chicken cravings.

However, Raising Cane’s has opened a second location in Delaware, now serving residents in the Dover area. The restaurant, located near the Commons Mall on North Dupont Highway, celebrated its grand opening with much more than a ribbon cutting. Twenty lucky customers were chosen in a raffle drawing to receive free Raising Cane’s for a year, and commemorative hats were given to the first one hundred customers.

“We’re incredibly excited to be joining the Dover Community,” said Restaurant Leader Jason Thompson. “One of the things that makes Dover so special is its unique blend of being the state capital while still feeling like a close-knit, small town. There’s a real sense of pride and connection here and we’re honored to be a part of it all while serving our ONE LOVE – Craveable Chicken Finger Meals.”

The new Raising Cane’s is open Sunday through Thursday from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 a.m., with extended hours Friday and Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 a.m.
