Delaware DMV Raising Fees in October

DELAWARE – The Delaware Division of Motor Vehicles (DMV) has announced an increase in fees for multiple services that will take effect this month.

Effective Oct. 1, the document fee charged when titling a vehicle in Delaware will increase from 4.25 percent to 5.25 percent. Other changes taking effect at the beginning of the month include raises on dealership license renewal and application fees, as well as specialty license plate fees.

Other changes will be taking effect on Oct. 10 include fee increases for commercial and non-commercial driver’s licenses, license renewals and modifications, taxicab endorsements, and other various fees.
