Berlin Asks Residents to Help Find Potential Water Leak

Faucet Drip

BERLIN, Md. – The Town of Berlin is asking for assistance from residents in locating a potential water leak within the town.

Officials say that the town’s infrastructure monitoring system is detecting that more water is being lost than normal.

Officials say residents should look for water running down the road when it has not rained, or water pooling in a yard or grassy area. Additionally, water running inside a storm drain can be indicative of a possible leak.

The town is also asking for residents to report any fire hydrants they see being used to fill up tanks.

Residents are asked to contact the Water Resources Department at (410)641-3845 if they notice anything unusual. For reporting information after business hours, please contact the Berlin Police Department at (410)641-1333.
