All4Love Breaks Ground on Community Hub

(CAMBRIDGE, Md) – While it may seem like just an ordinary warehouse on the outside, on the inside, is the newest community hub in Cambridge. One that’s geared towards helping the city’s young adults.
The Warehouse is going to be the new central location for the group All4Love, a Dorchester County based group that was originally founded in 2022. Executive Director, Lucas Thorpe called it a big day for the group as they broke ground.
Thorpe says, “From the jump, we always knew that this was our goal. We always wanted a facility like this ever since we launched. And our community needs it. Our young men need a space like this that they can claim as their own.”
The plan for the Warehouse is to turn it into a half-court basketball gym, classrooms, breakout spaces, and an office for All4Love.
“They know that they have an outlet when they get out of school. Even while they’re in school, they’re getting support from the mentors and the volunteers here. And they they depend on that,” says Maryland Delegate, Sheree Sample-Hughes.
All4Love has done a lot with very little in just a few years time. And the alumni who’ve been through All4Love since day one say they’re happy to see that the group will be able to be a community hub for so many more.
“Having somewhere, having somewhere for kids to go. Like, you know, when they’re feeling down or like when they just need somebody. This is a great place for them to just come in, clear their head,” says Darren Belizaire.
While Teshar Drummond says, “We all graduated from the program. We’ve learned so much from it. It has helped us in our everyday life, in college and work, things like that. So I feel like just taking all that we learned in kind and giving it back to them, it’s going to make them even better people.”
Lucas also tells WMDT the funding for The Warehouse is through their Built for Kids Capital Campaign. With the goal of raising over two million dollars.
