Wor-Wic Community College gears up for annual ‘Shatter the Stigma’ walk

SALISBURY, Md.- Wor-Wic Community College is hosting its annual Shatter the Stigma Walk.

The walk helps push back against the stigma surrounding addiction and is a safe space for meaningful conversations and support.

Participants will walk a mile around the campus and will have an opportunity to honor a loved one who is battling or was lost to addiction. Social worker Amanda Keaney said this is one of the most highly anticipated events on campus.

“You are not alone; there are people and resources in this community that want to connect with you and uplift you,” said Keaney.

The walk will kick off on September 27th at 9:30am. To register, click here
