Two Arrested Following High Speed Pursuit in Dover
DOVER, Del. – The Delaware State Police (DSP) have arrested two young men, and are looking for a third, in connection with a high speed pursuit that took place Saturday night.
At approximately 10:00 p.m. on Sept. 27, a trooper on patrol saw a stolen silver Mitsubishi Outlander accelerating at a high rate of speed on South Dupont Highway. When the trooper tried to pull the Outlander over, it sped away. During the pursuit, the Outlander drove in a reckless manner and a high rate of speed on several area streets and roads. After coming to a stop in Capital Park, the three occupants in the vehicle ran away.
Troopers searched the area and ultimately located two of the occupants, identified as 18-year-old Kenneth Seward and 19-year-old Jaziah Wilson, both of Dover. They were taken into custody without further incident.
During a search of the vehicle, troopers found a loaded AR-style rifle with a high-capacity magazine, and property belonging to the third occupant, identified as 20-year-old Makhai Miller. Troopers have obtained a warrant for Miller’s arrest and are working to locate him.
Seward and Wilson were arrested and taken to DSP Troop 3, where they were charged with possession of large capacity magazine and deadly weapon during the commission of a felony, amongst other charges. They were both committed to Sussex Correctional Institute; Seward on $66,500 cash bond, and Wilson on $54,500 cash bond.
