TidalHealth Conducting Free Car Seat Checks in Georgetown

GEORGETOWN, Del. – TidalHealth Nanticoke’s Trauma Department will be conducting car seat safety inspections on Friday, Oct. 10.

Inspections will be held from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Crossroad Community Church. These car seat safety inspections are a free service provided by certified child passenger safety technicians to ensure children’s car seats is properly installed.

Proper installment is dependent on a child’s height, weight and age, and should be used correctly according to manufacturer and safety guidelines. Research from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) shows that over half of car seats are installed incorrectly.
