Seaford stays hot with victory over Laurel

LAUREL, Del. – Seaford football took down Laurel 28-13 on Friday night in Laurel.

The Blue Jays struck first, with quarterback Vincent Evans scoring on a keeper from the one-yard line. On the extra point, the snap got away from the holder, and kicker Luke Metzner scooped up the ball and heaved it to the end zone, where it was caught by Ty’Aire Buffalo for a successful two-point conversion.

The Bulldogs responded with a 35-yard touchdown from Cam Deiter to Khalid Burton to make it 8-7, but Seaford was able to pull away in the second half for a big road win.

The Blue Jays are now 4-1 on the year, their next game is at Polytech on Friday, October 3.

Laurel falls to 3-1 with the loss. They go on the road to play Woodbridge on Friday, October 3.
