Pettyjohn Road to be closed for utility work
GEORGETOWN, Del. — The Delaware Department of Transportation (DelDOT) announced to motorists that Pettyjohn Road will be closed between Gravel Hill Road (Route 30) and Prettyman Road due to upcoming work for an offsite water main. The closure will begin on Monday, Sept. 15, at 7:00 a.m. and end on Friday, Sept. 19, at 6:00 p.m.
Motorists traveling south bound on Pettyjohn Road will turn right onto Prettyman Road and turn left onto Gravel Hill Road to return to Pettyjohn Road. Drivers traveling north bound on Gravel Hill Road will continue past Pettyjohn Road and turn right onto Prettyman Road to return to Pettyjohn Road.
