MD Folk Fest, Food Paradise

SALISBURY, Md. There will be plenty of food options to choose from at the Maryland Folk Festival.

Mogan’s is offering specialty cocktails and grilled garlic parmesan oysters. Next door, Two Scoops is serving its special apple cider float. Brick Row Market will feature cheddar biscuits and an apple chicken salad sandwich. The Bury Tavern will have hot dogs and pizza to go. Food trucks and other vendors will also be on site.

Several newcomers are participating this year.

Caroline O’Hare, festival director for the City of Salisbury, said, “I’m very excited that we have a plant-based food vendor this year, which we haven’t had in the past. We also have Greek, we have barbecue, we have Jamaican, we have tacos — some of the best tacos ever. Playa Bowls is coming. We have bacon on a stick. Who doesn’t love that? Even as a vegetarian, I can’t. The smell of bacon is amazing.”

Between the restaurants and bars downtown and the festival vendors, it is a food lover’s paradise.
