Maryland Folk Festival wraps up

SALISBURY, Md. — The Maryland Folk Festival wrapped up Sunday night around 6 p.m., and crews worked into the early hours of the morning to break it all down. Stages, tents and tables were disassembled and packed away by Monday afternoon. Chris Ford, the city of Salisbury’s Events Technical Specialist, said it takes a lot of hard work to reopen access to the downtown area.

“Our goal is to be out here at 1, 2, 3 a.m. — as long as it takes to open up the roads and make this as normal a process as possible for the Monday morning commute,” Ford said.

The city of Salisbury thanked the volunteers who made the festival possible and everyone who came out to enjoy the weekend.
