Lincoln Man Shot in Chest While Sleeping

LINCOLN, Del. – Delaware State Police (DSP) are currently investigating a residential shooting that took place Thursday morning.

At approximately 6:21 a.m. on Sept. 18, troopers responded 29000 block of Fleatown Road following a report of a shooting. A preliminary investigation by police revealed that an unknown suspect entered a private residence through an unsecured door, and shot a 66-year-old man in the chest while he was asleep. The victim was taken to an area hospital with serious injuries.

No arrests have been made in connection with this incident at this time.
