History Buffs Prepare for Vintage Decoy Show

(DORCHESTER COUNTY, Md) – If you’re a history buff and an avid hunter.. then this upcoming event in Dorchester County is for you.

The Delmarva Decoy Collectibles Association is working with groups to put on their 6th annual Vintage Decoy and Memorabillia Show later on this month.

Plenty of decoys and vintage hunting equipment will be on display.

And the Dorchester County Historical Society is excited for one of the largest hunting groups on the East Coast to gather for this show.

“You never know what you’re going to find there. There’s going to be gunpowder as well as decoys, contemporary decoys. And who knows what might show up. They were very much a utilitarian item. And like even the popularity with oyster camps, if something that was thrown away…” says Dorchester County Historical Society’s Vice-Chair, Kim Newcomb.
