Fatal Golf Cart Accident in Long Neck
LONG NECK, Del. – The Delaware State Police (DSP) are investigating a fatal crash involving a golf cart that occurred Sunday evening in the Pot-Nets Bayside community.
At approximately 7:00 p.m. on Sept. 14, a Venom EV Golf Cart was traveling on Piney Crest Lane when the front passenger fell out of the cart and was critically injured. The golf cart did not strike another object and sustained no damage. Despite this, the incident is being investigated by the DSP Collision Reconstruction Unit as a fatal crash.
The passenger, a 35-year-old woman from Millsboro, was pronounced dead on the scene. It was determined that she was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash. Her identity is being withheld until her family is notified.
The driver, a 44-year-old woman from Millsboro, was not injured.
