DSP Arrest Two Men for Reckless Shooting

MILFORD, Del. – Delaware State Police have arrested two men in connection with a shooting incident that occurred on Tuesday evening.

At approximately 7:48 p.m. on Sept. 23, troopers responded to the 20000 block of Cedar Beach Road for a report of reckless endangering. Upon arriving on the scene, authorities learned that an occupied residence had been struck with gunfire. No injuries were reported.

A preliminary investigation determined that two men were shooting a firearm in the backyard of a nearby residence when their gunfire struck the occupied home. The men were identified as 34-year-old David Waddington of Milford and 71-year-old Roger Spurbeck of New Holland, Pennsylvania. They were both taken into custody without incident.

Both men were charged with first degree reckless endangerment and released on $76,000 unsecured bond.
