Dorchester Co. in Need of Volunteers for Ironman

(CAMBRIDGE, Md) – Cambridge needs volunteers for the 11th annual Maryland Ironman.

More than 2,000 athletes are set to descend on the city later this month, and organizers are looking for more than 1,600 pairs of helpful hands.

They’ll assist with set-up at Gerry Boyle and Long Wharf Parks, and help out at way points, providing water.

There are plenty of opportunities available.

“It’s a full day. It’s a very full day. And that’s why we need as many volunteers as possible. So if you want to come out during the daytime, that’s great if you want to, if you are a night owl, want to come out and see the nighttime race, that’s great. But we need your support and we need volunteers,” says organizer, Veronica Taylor.

If you’re interested in volunteering or even participating in the Ironman, you can visit their website for more information.

The Ironman will take place on Saturday, September 20th in Cambridge.
