Dorchester Co. Goes Purple for Overdose Awareness
(CAMBRIDGE, Md) – Another Eastern Shore community is painting the town purple for Overdose Awareness Month.
People were gathering at the Dorchester County building to kick off a month of supporting those battling addiction.
Tuesday is only the start of it, because there’s a list of events going on in Dorchester County throughout the month.
It’s all part of Dorchester County Goes Purple.
From their 10th Annual Recovery Works, to what they call the “Purple Pulpit Day” on September the 14th, involving churches across the county.
And it isn’t just about spreading messages of hope and recovery.
It’s also about providing the resources and peer support people truly need to help overcome addiction before it’s too late.
