Bayhealth to Host Free Breast Exams in Milford, Dover

MILFORD, Del. – The Bayhealth Cancer Institute will be hosting free breast exams in their mobile health unit over the next several weeks as a part of their “Go Pink! Grow Hope” initiative.

Breast exams are available to patients at no-cost, nor do they require a referral or health insurance. Attendees will receive a clinical breast exam from a licensed healthcare provider. Those in need of follow-up mammograms will be referred to the appropriate services. On-site support will include breast health education, navigation resources, and additional health services at some locations.

“Early detection saves lives, and by meeting people where they are, we’re making that lifesaving care more accessible than ever,” shared Executive Director of Bayhealth Cancer Insitute and Senior Director of Oncology Service Line, John Shevock. “’Go Pink! Grow Hope’ is more than a campaign—it’s a commitment to proactive health, empowerment and hope.”

The first of four locations the mobile health unit will be traveling to is Calvary Church in Milford. Exams will be held from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. The Food Bank of Delaware will also have their mobile food pantry at this event.

The mobile health unit will also be traveling to the Dover Public Library, the Verona Woods 55+ Community, and the Milford Senior Center next month.
