15-Year-Old Arrested for Daytime Shooting in Dover
DOVER, Del. – The Dover Police Department has arrested a 15-year-old in connection with a residential shooting that occurred Wednesday morning.
At approximately 10:10 a.m., police responded to the 200 block of Trafalgar Drive following a report of shots fired in the area. Upon arriving in the area, police located a home that was shot. The home was occupied at the time of the shooting, but no injuries were reported.
Officers were able to obtain a description of the suspect and began to check the area where they had fled. While on Mifflin Road, officers located a 15-year-old of Dover walking with another juvenile. The 15-year-old matched the description of the suspect and was found in possession of a 9mm handgun concealed in his waistband.
He was taken into custody by the Dover Police Department and later taken to Kent County Family Court for arraignment. The 15-year-old was charged with carrying a concealed deadly weapon and possession of a a firearm by a restricted person. He was released on $10,000 unsecured bail.
This follows the arrest of 15-year-old Jaheem Mortaz Brown for a residential shooting that happened last week in Cambridge.
